# How to Add a Planned Downtime on Smart Devices?

Here you will learn how to create [Planned Downtime](https://hub.ifelsecloud.com/knowledge.kypeco/what-is-a-planned-downtime?hs_preview=EWDmWwci-106100350020) with its reason code and equipment involved using the fab icon on Kypeco.

## Steps:

1. Tap on thecircular **Fab icon**.
2. Select **Add Downtime.**
3. Select **Planned Downtime**.
4. Add the **start date-time** of the downtime.
5. Select the **duration** of the planned downtime. **OR**
6. If the end time is known, add the **end date-time**.
7. **Select a reason code** from Levels 1, 2 and 3.
8. **(Optional): Tag equipment** concerned with downtime.
9. Touch **Add Downtime**. Simple as!
